January 15 - January 19
Due to the snow days and another short week with MLK Jr. Day we are going to continue our same focus areas and stories as last week. We will also add in some stories on snow and MLK Jr.
-Decompose and represent numbers to 5 (instead of saying 3+2=5, switch it around to be 5=3+2)
-related facts (1+3=4, 4-3=1)
-fluently add and subtract to 5
-tapping to spell words
-tapping to read
-Review letters: students should be able to identify, write and produce the sound for ALL lowercase and uppercase letters.

Quarter 2 Words: to, go, funny, you, come, me, what, my, with, are, one, now, two, three, take, some, on
Quarter 1 Words: I, like, the, big, and, a, see, it, in, little, can, up, we
-complete homework packet
-read story at least 3 times.
-practice sight words
-practice reading on raz-kids

Show and Tell Topic
I only had 2 students bring a show and tell after all of the snow days so we decided as a class to move show and tell to Tuesday, January 16th. The topic is to bring in a favorite small gift you have received .
Due to all the illness before break our class is VERY low on kleenex & Lysol/Clorox wipes. If you are willing to send any in I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
Monday: no school
Jan. 15- No School: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Jan. 16- Show and Tell- bring a small gift that you have received.
Jan. 18- PTA meeting
Jan. 25- 2nd quarter Awards Assembly @ 2:00. All are welcome to attend. Kindergarten students receive awards for perfect attendance. You can check your child's report card to see if they will qualify for this award.
